Jake is the cofounder and CEO of Team Rubicon\, a nonprofit organization that recruits\, trains and deploys military veterans to disaster zones around the world and within the United States.  Since 2010\, Team Rubicon has scaled to 100\,000 volunteers and deployed teams to some of the worst catastrophes of the century. Something Southwest Louisiana is all too familiar with. Jake is the author of the best-selling memoir\, Once a Warrior:  How One Veteran Found a New Mission Closer to Home (2020).  Jake will share his story of resiliency and rebuilding with our audience.
